A progressive three-year curriculum
Year 1 — Scientific and professional foundations
Tronc commun en sciences infirmières et obstétricales : anatomie, physiologie, biologie, microbiologie, nutrition, psychologie, sociologie et puériculture.
The program covers ethics, care planning, therapeutic relationships, infection prevention, care techniques, community health, statistics, digital technology and research. Placements begin in the first year with 6 credits, representing 270 hours.
Year 2 — Core midwifery practice
Pregnancy and antenatal care
Biologie de la reproduction, grossesse, consultation prénatale, pathologies obstétricales et gynécologiques, pharmacologie.
Childbirth and newborn care
Travail, accouchement eutocique, soins immédiats au nouveau-né, soins obstétricaux et néonataux et suivi postnatal.
Emergencies
Accouchement à risque, SONUB, SONUC, santé périnatale et néonatale. Deux stages de 360 heures sont prévus aux troisième et quatrième semestres.
Year 3 — Complex situations and professional practice
Imagerie médicale, pédiatrie, pathologies obstétricales et médicales, psychiatrie, santé sexuelle et reproductive, approche genre et problématiques de santé de la femme.
Approfondissement des urgences obstétricales et néonatales, méthodes de soins avancées, recherche, rédaction administrative, formation, supervision, gestion et éthique professionnelle.
A program centred on mother and child
Pregnancy → Antenatal care → Labour → Childbirth → Newborn care → Postnatal follow-up → Family planning.
Caring for the whole person
Biblical work ethics, biblical anthropology, holistic community health, a holistic approach to primary healthcare, servant leadership, management ethics and palliative care strengthen character, compassion, service and professional responsibility.
